1. Overview

SpeedFIT is a mobile application that allows you to export your Speediance workout history as standard .FIT files saved to your device. The application is designed with a privacy-first, on-device architecture:

• No developer-operated servers
• No cloud storage controlled by the developer
• No analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs
• No third-party fitness platform credentials (such as Garmin) are ever requested

All processing occurs locally on your device and is initiated by you.

2. Controller and Contact

SpeedFIT is operated by an independent developer acting as the person responsible for personal information under applicable privacy laws.

3. Personal Information We Process

We process only the information necessary to provide the application’s functionality:

3.1 Authentication Data

• Speediance email and password
• Speediance authentication tokens (session, access, refresh tokens)

These are treated as sensitive authentication data. SpeedFIT does not ask for, receive, or store credentials for Garmin or any other fitness platform.

3.2 Workout Data

• Exercise history (sets, repetitions, weights, timestamps)
• Heart rate samples

This may be considered health-related information. It is processed only in device memory while a .FIT file is being generated, then written to local storage as a file.

3.3 Application Data

• Exported workout identifiers (to avoid re-exporting the same workout)
• Last export timestamp
• Purchase entitlement status

4. How Your Data Is Used

Your data is used exclusively to:

• Authenticate with Speediance
• Retrieve workout history
• Convert workouts into the .FIT file format
• Save .FIT files to your device’s storage
• Manage paid feature access

We do not use your data for:

• analytics
• advertising
• profiling
• marketing

We do not upload your workout data to any third-party platform on your behalf. You manually upload the generated .FIT files to whichever service(s) you choose.

5. Where Your Data Is Processed

All processing occurs:

• On your device
• Directly between your device and Speediance

We do not store or process your data on any developer-controlled server. SpeedFIT does not connect to Garmin Connect or any other fitness platform — those uploads are entirely under your control after the .FIT file is on your device.

6. Data Sharing and Transfers

We do not share your data with third parties under our control.

At your request, data is transmitted directly between your device and Speediance for the purpose of retrieving your own workout history. Speediance acts as an independent data controller.

Once a .FIT file is generated, it is stored locally on your device. Any subsequent upload to Garmin Connect or other services is performed by you — using those services’ own apps or websites — and is not facilitated or observed by SpeedFIT.

6.1 International Users

SpeedFIT is available worldwide.

By using the application, you understand that your data may be processed in jurisdictions outside your country of residence, depending on where Speediance operates.

All transfers occur directly between your device and Speediance at your request.

7. Legal Basis

Processing is based on:

• Your explicit consent and actions when using the application
• Performance of a service you request

You may withdraw consent by stopping use of the application and removing data from your device.

8. Storage and Retention

• Speediance credentials and tokens are stored securely on your device using encryption
• Workout data is processed in memory while generating a .FIT file
• Generated .FIT files are saved to your device’s Downloads folder and remain there until you delete them
• Application data is stored locally
• Data is retained until you take action, including:
  • signing out
  • clearing app data
  • uninstalling the app
  • deleting individual .FIT files from your Downloads folder

9. Security

We implement:

• AES-256 encryption for stored credentials
• Android Keystore for key protection
• HTTPS/TLS for all network communication
• No backups of application data
• Minimal permissions (internet + storage for saving .FIT files only)

No system is fully secure. You are responsible for securing your device.

10. Incident Handling

If a security issue occurs:

• We may release updates via Google Play
• Users may be informed via in-app messages or release notes

Where required by applicable law, we will notify users and/or authorities. Because we do not collect contact information, individual notification may not always be possible.

11. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

• access your data
• correct your data
• request deletion
• withdraw consent

Since all data is stored locally, you can exercise these rights by:

• signing out
• clearing app data
• uninstalling the app
• deleting saved .FIT files from your Downloads folder

12. Children

SpeedFIT is not intended for children and does not knowingly target individuals under 13 years of age.

13. Changes

This policy may be updated periodically. Updates will be posted in-app or via the Play Store listing.
